March 12, 2012- Eric Higgs, President and CEO of LumaStream, Inc. www.lumastream.com announced today that LumaStream has signed a cooperation agreement with Bridgelux www.bridgelux.com under the Bridgelux Ecosystem Program.  Mr. Higgs views this agreement as a foundation for further market and technical developments with Bridgelux.  “We are extremely impressed with the efficiency and performance of the Bridgelux arrays.  The quality of these arrays was a driving factor in our development efforts.”  Mr. Higgs added that “The Ecosystem Program is a vehicle for reaching a broader market for LumaStream’s Power Vector intelligent power conversion and control interface technology.” LumaStream’s ‘Power Vector’ power supplies are designed as enabling technology for LED luminaire manufactures to maximize reliability, efficiency and control.  The Power Vector THEA product was designed to complement Bridgelux RS and ES arrays.   “We are very pleased that … [Read more...]

LumaStream business model is a win/win/win

Jim Broderick, DOE SSL portfolio manager, recently wrote about a presentation by lighting designer Derry Berrigan. That presentation goes to the heart of our business model.  Derry spoke about resistance to SSL from an unlikely source--from the "lighting infrastructure,” the local network of lighting distributors, sales reps, engineers, and contractors.  They were concerned that  industry changes entailed in adoption of SSL technology and products is a threat to the traditional ways of doing business.
